Horse Riding Events & Holiday Camps

🐎 The Outlook Riding Academy opens its gates to thrilling school holiday day camps and events, tailor-made for equestrian enthusiasts.

  • No previous horse riding experience is required to attend a holiday camp or event.

  • All levels are welcome from complete beginners to saddle superstars.

  • We provide each rider with a helmet.

  • You don’t need to bring a horse or own a horse - we’ve got that part sorted.

  • How to book: create an online account on Ec Pro - Add the ride to your profile, and select - “UPCOMING EVENTS”: pick your day camp date and check out. You do not need to add in a rider number or horse when creating the booking.

MONDAY, 7th October (public holiday). A 3-hour Pony Party Event (no horse riding).

  • Decorating ponies with bows and paint.

  • Hobbyhorse riding.

  • Leading the ponies over obstacle courses, and paddock games on foot.

  • Cost: $110 per person.

  • Drop off 8:30am - pick up 11:30am

  • Suitable for: Ages 4 - 16

  • Kids are to wear: enclosed shoes, and comfortable clothes to run around in.

  • Kids are to bring a hat, water bottle, sunscreen, and a little snack.

School Holiday Day Camps

Join us at The Outlook Riding Academy for a jam-packed, nature-inspired day in the paddocks! Perfect for kids who love horses, games, and outdoor adventures!

How to book

  • Create an online account on Ec Pro - Add the ride to your profile, and select - “UPCOMING EVENTS”: pick your camp date and check out.

Dates:

  • 10th October

Time:

  • 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Price:

  • $200 per child, per day

  • You can book 1 day, 2 days or every camp day… No lock-in commitments/contracts.

  • Spaces are limited—book now to secure your spot!

What to bring:

  • Morning tea, lunch, water bottle, hat, jumper, and sun protection.

Suitable for:

  • 4yrs - 18yrs

Day Camp Schedule: Get ready for a day of horse riding, making new friends, and creating unforgettable outdoor fun!

  • 8:30 AM - Welcome Games & Stable Time

    We start the day with games (and icebreakers) to get everyone settled, then head to the stables to learn about horse care and anatomy.

    9:00 AM - Groom, Plait & Saddle Up

    Get our ponies and horses ready for action—grooming, plaiting, and tacking up for the ride ahead.

    9:15 AM - Morning Tea Break

    Refuel with a quick snack before the big ride!

    9:30 AM - Horse Riding Time

    Riders will be split into groups (based on riding level and age), so beginners get comfortable and confident, while our intermediate riders practice jumping, sporting events and flatwork.

    11:30 AM - Nature Games & Paddock Play

    Explore creativity with nature-based games and paddock play—think scavenger hunts, archery, or painting! A new adventure every day.

    12:30 PM - Pick-Up

    Camp concludes with pick-up at the Green Shed.

Wet Weather - Rain, hail or shine camp will always go-ahead

  • Activities will be held undercover and in protected areas.

  • Please bring extra clothes for wet days (raincoat, jumper, gumboots & a spare set of clothes + shoes)

What to wear

  • Stretchy long pants, t-shirt / long sleeve top & enclosed shoes for riding

  • Pack a change of clothes & shoes for afternoon activities

  • If your child has any allergies or takes medication - you must inform us via email remond6@bigpond.com

  • After horse riding, we sometimes provide snacks: chocolate easter eggs, fairy bread, lollies, damper and or marshmallows - you must inform us if your child can not have these snacks, so we can find an alternative ‘snack’ for them.

Cancellations | T&C’s.

  • By riding or booking, you agree to our T&C’s & regulations by Equestrian Australia.

  • We do not refund school holiday camp bookings or events.

On the day

  • Parking and on-the-day info - read here.

  • Enter at Gate 2/256 Scenic Highway, Terrigal.

  • Look for our large horse sign. Riders must be signed in with a staff member as each child will be given a name tag.

How to Book

Please log in to your EC PRO account or create a profile on EC PRO if you are a new rider

  1. Click on Book A Lesson

  2. Register an account (name, email, address, phone number)

  3. Then add the rider(s)

  4. Select “EVENTS” from the home page - “UPCOMING EVENTS”

  5. Select the relevant date/event and Click “book space” on the date wanted.

  6. Enter your rider’s FIRST & LAST name + any notes.

  7. * Ignore the slots regarding rider number /horse name/number

  8. Add to basket.

  9. Once you have added all the camp days wanted to your basket, proceed to checkout.
