Party Information | Booking

• Booking a 1 hr private lesson for your child prior to their party (ie. 1 - 3 weeks out) – ensures that they are comfortable around the horses and you are familiar with our set-up, parking, riding layout.

• Or arrange a visit to The Outlook prior to your party date to familiarise yourself with the site, parking and set-up (allow 15 minutes for this visit).

• Booking time slots:

  • Saturday 12pm or 1pm. Email at remond6@bigpond.com to request a different time.

  • Thursday or Friday parties on request. Email at remond6@bigpond.com or phone 0427189567 to check availability.

• The number of children booked to ride will be the number we accommodate for: ponies, horses, and staff. Additional fees apply for late changes.

• Our ponies don't mind the rain but children may need to bring raincoats, gumboots and warm clothing for our unpredictable weather.

• Suitable footwear is also essential: riding boots, joggers or gumboots.

• In wet weather, groups will be entertained with ponies and games undercover.

• Party food & drinks are your responsibility - please note there are no cooking facilities. We recommend bringing minimal food as the children are entertained for the duration of the party. Pack lightly if you want to bring food, as it’s a steep walk to the horse paddock. Our suggestion: water bottles and a small snack/nibbles for the adults. If a child has an allergy, yet still wishes to participate in an activity (on foot, horseback, cake decorating and or be on our property) The Outlook Riding Academy does not take any responsibility.

• Allocate 1 adult as the party coordinator for the children.

  • This person needs to stay nearby & help supervise each participating child at all times.

  • The coordinator may be required to assist in lifting heavier children onto horseback.

• Extra children (siblings of guests) cannot ride at the party. We do not recommend bringing extra children/guests – they tend to be upset, and seek a pony ride! 

• There is a steep descent to reach the horses by foot. It is not ideal for people with mobility issues. We are able to transport a small number of individuals down if necessary & we need to be advised prior to the party. 

• Photos may be taken for our social media and website. If you do not want your child photographed, please let us know prior to the party.

• 30 minutes is allocated in addition to your booking time slot for packing up.

• Please ensure that adult numbers and guest numbers do not exceed those currently allowed under COVID restrictions.

What We Provide

• Party decorations, tables and chairs

• Ponies and horses - to be shared amongst children. We will select the most suitable horses from our herd. 

• Helmets, saddlery, and riding equipment

• Please read through our FAQ page.

• Wear comfortable and practical clothing. You will get dirty. Everyone needs enclosed flat footwear.

• Riders must wear enclosed shoes (riding boots or gumboots) & long pants (leggings, tights or jeans).

• Pack water, sunscreen, hats, and hand cleansing wipes - be ready for all weather conditions.

• Organise with your guests to meet at the car park approximately 15 minutes prior to the party start time.

• Parents can do additional decorating around the party area – please ensure it is removed upon departure.

• Horse Birthday Cake Activity - cost $88. The group will create the horse’s face and bridle using lollies.

How To Book A Party

Tip: use a computer/laptop to create an account & book. The mobile version isn’t easy to navigate.

• Click on Book A Lesson

• You will be taken to our online booking system, EC Pro (UK site) to register an account (name, email, address, phone number)

• Select booking

• Filter event and choose your date/time

• Add the rider’s first name and last name

• Proceed to checkout

• Review your order, enter card details & make payment

• Once all riders have RSVP’d please add the names of the riders to your EC PRO event booking.

Terms & Conditions

• We have a zero refund policy: There’s no refund or account credit if you cancel.

• We still go ahead in the rain - our party plans are creative and adaptive. If the weather is severe (ie. thunderstorms) we will postpone the party & find a new time slot that works best for you - The Outlook Riding Academy will make the call on the weather condition.

• You can change your booking (date & time slot) up to 14 days before your pony/horse party.

• We can not change the date/time < 7 days out.

• By riding, visiting or booking, you agree to our T&Cs & regulations by Equestrian Australia

• You are responsible for your own booking & re-booking (if you wish to change the date & time). Log into your EC PRO account to amend your booking.

• COVID-19 NSW rules & restrictions apply.

• By booking a pony party you accept the T&Cs stated on this website & acknowledge that they form the entirety of the Agreement for the entire period of participation in the recreational service.
